Time Travel Gone Wrong: First Peak At The Gameplay Of Quantum Break.

Hallelujah! The sky is blue, the sun is shinning and Remedy has finally released more information regarding their next IP Quantum Break during the 2014 Gamescom conference. I have been waiting for a word; nay even a whisper about this game since it was announced during Microsoft’s 2013 E3 conference and they have finally delivered.

Being a huge Alan Wake fan having replayed it 3 times since 2010, Quantum Break’s new trailer had me break out in (excited) hives because the game looks EPIC. The hero looks like Alan Wake (with a little Max Payne mixed in for good measure) and the combat resembles Alan Wake but story is way less horror, and way more sci-fi. This is sure to please fans, such as I, who have been begging Remedy to come out with an Alan Wake sequel.

Anyways, Remedy’s upcoming 3rd-Person Shooter is a time-bending adventure that follows Jack Joyce, Beth Wilder and Paul Serene. After a time-travelling experiment went horribly wrong, the three protagonists are left with superhuman abilities that control and manipulate time. As the world is left fragmented and broken due to time spinning out of control, it’s up to our heroes to master their powers in order to save the world.

Here’s the gameplay trailer in all it’s glory:

Unfortunately, no release date has been announced as of yet; but here’s to hoping that more info will be released throughout the week. As with Alan Wake, Quantum Break will be an Xbox exclusive (with a tentative PC release in the future).
