Last week I got the chance to try out the pre-alpha build of a Quebec indie game called Light Fall. Developed by 3-man studio Bishop Games, Light Fall tells the story of a boy named Nox and a curmudgeonly owl named Stryx as they work to unravel the mystery of what is affecting their homeland of Numbra.

Light Fall is a minimalist platformer/puzzle game told through the navigation of a delightful silhouette-filled world. The player controls Nox, making him jump and parkour his way up walls and to platforms while summoning the handy Shadow Core to help solve puzzles and get to hard-to-reach places.

We were lucky enough to have Light Fall’s lead programmer, David Dion-Paquet join us in Twitch chat to talk about the game and answer questions. Check out the video above for gameplay and to hear what he had to say.

The Bishop Games crew will be making their way to PAX South this weekend, so keep an eye out for updates on their Twitter feed and head over to their official website to check out the Light Fall development blog!
